Story:

Lyri is a thrall. Raised from the dead by a barely competent Necromancer with a relentless determination to exact vengeance on the person who killed her. Together with the Necromancer who brought her back, they set out on a journey across the expansive Kingdom of Libresta in search of a way to restore her magic and to end the life of her killer.

Characters:

Raigar is an amateur Necromancer. He can barely hold a single thrall at a given time, but he does have the uncanny ability to see into the Aetherworld—the Plain of existence where the spirits of ancient Magi reside, amongst other more sinister beings. Raigar can allow himself to be possessed by ancient Magi Spirits, absobring their knowledge, skills and power, but it is an ability he must use with caution for a stronger spirit could take control of him.

  • Class : Necromancer
  • Weapons: Scythes, swords
  • Party Roles: Damage Dealer, Healer
  • Learns new skills and ancient magic through allowing Spirits in new areas to possess him (so long as they're not stronger than him and take control)
  • Can bring people back from the dead as thralls (just not too many at once)
  • Can control the undead (sometimes)

Lyri was one of the Warriors of the Dawn, destined to bring the Kingdom of Libresta out of darkness. The only problem is that she's dead. Once an unrivalled Healer, the fallen heroine must play to her new found strengths.

  • Class: Warrior
  • Weapons: Spears, swords, axes
  • Party Role: Damage Dealer, Tank
  • The player's actions and choices in game shape Lyri's personality; choose the more sinister path and Lyri will become a merciless killer, or favour the more protective route and Lyri will become the shield that defends those weaker than her.
  • Learns new skills from other warriors in Libresta, but only if they think her worthy of them.

Macker is a special kind of merchant. What he sells—well—there isn't any clean way to put this; Macker deals in certain substances. Substances that can make people feel like they're stronger than they are, make them feel immortal, or rouse them into an unwavering rage.

  • Class: Exotic Merchant
  • Weapons: daggers, knives, mushrooms
  • Party Role: Buffs, Healer
  • In the party, Macker's special bag of tricks can be used to buff the party, but it comes at a high price.
  • Learns new skills by acquiring new stock

Nim is a Shapeshifter. If that isn't obvious enough, then allow me to explain; she can change shape into animals or monsters. As the party explore Libresta, Nim discovers new forms that help solve puzzles in dungeons, she can be a raging minotaur in battle or an evasive snake, an agile fox, a mysterious white wolf or even a sneaky little rat. Some of the shapeshifters have a legend that the strongest among them have been able to take the form of a Demon.

  • Class: Shapeshifter
  • Weapons: Tooth, fang, claw, wing, fist, tail, and whatever else form she can discover
  • Party Role: Damage Dealer, Tank, Healer, Buffs, DeBuffs
  • In battle, Nim can morph into other forms which can switch her class mid-battle
  • Learns new skills by acquiring new forms

Dungeons:

Dungeons will require you to use the unique skills of the party to progress.

  • Raigar's ability to see into the Aetherworld and communicate with the dead
  • Nim's ability to shapeshift into animal forms, can get into spaces and places a normal human wouldn't be able to reach
  • Macker's ability to deal in "exotics" is sometimes suprisingly useful
  • Lyri's ability to be just an undead thrall... is ... well... she's really strong so you'd want her on your side in a fight.

ATB Battles:

This game uses the Active Time Battle system, with classic RPG elements with twists on the skills and classes.
